Doctors or medical interns / students answer please!?
Is this job rewarding !? I have wanted to do this job my whole life , since the age of 7!. I live for that feeling you get that you have changed or helped or saved somebodys life even if you are giving up your life!. I can really live on self-sacrifice !. Working all nighters , running throught the hospital , getting yelled at , all of that I can handle as long as I get that feeling at the end of the week when I lay down that I am making a diference in someones life!. As I get older , it dons't bother me the sacrafice of work that goes into becoming a doctor but I hear so many cases of paople who dislike this proffesion!? Any words of wisdom !? Is this truley a noble job!? What area of medicine and what type of enviroment would fit a strong-headed, driven, caring, determined, mulitasker who can work well in chaos!? I am also very good with people and solving thier mental situtions and I would love pschy!. but I would yearn for a chaotic enviroment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Well, emergency rooms are always chaotic!. You truly do save lives, because in an ER you either fix them now or they are dead!. If you can handle not being appreciated by a lot of the patients you see, then I think it would be perfect for you, and you will get your fair share of psych patients, trust me! =) If you like the same thing day in and day out, then the ER is NOT a good job for you!. There is a lot of variety in the ER, you will see just about EVERYTHING! Sounds like it may be a good match for you!Www@Answer-Health@Com
