Back in the '80's, I was in Pittsburgh!. A liver transplant ran $250,000, and you had to raise the money before they cut!. (It was experimental, so the insurance companies did not pay!.) One little boy got President Reagan to help him raise the funds!.
Now there are long term treatments which can run $30,000 per year, for life!.
In some ways, you are worse off if you have insurance than if you have none!. My insurance will have a co-pay which maxes out at about $3,000 per year, but then it also has annual and life time caps!. If I go over those, it all comes back to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
