Does anyone know ways to held reduce edema?!

Question: Does anyone know ways to held reduce edema!?
My mom is fifty and has some heart problems, and this has happened before but has always gone down within a few days with no problems!. From her knees down she is swelled really really bad!. She has pitting edema, where if she presses her fingers in and pulls them away, it stays pushed in!. This has been for 6 days so far!. She is not drinking any soft drinks, only tea and water!. She has taken diurex and herbal water pills and nothing has helped!. She has kept her feet up, iced them, soaked them and everything, but we cannot make the swelling go down!. I need any suggestions, she has no insurance, so it is kinda hard to get her to the doctor!. Please any help is well appreciated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
She should see a doctor asap and if she can't afford it go to the ER (they are required to see you even if you can't pay and she can just make paymentsl!.!.!.even if it is a few dollars a month)!.!.!.the swelling could be a sign of congestive heart failure and if that is the case nothing you do will help the swelling!. She should cut back on the tea and increase the water since as strange as it sounds the more water she drinks the better because that will help flush her body out!. But really this is just putting a band aid on a big problem she should really see the doctor ecspecially since she has issues with her heart already!. Also limit the salt intake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if possible elevate them higher and decrease the fluid intake to 5 cups and decrease the salt in her diet if this doesn't help go to a clinic if shes low income there must be some insurance she can apply forWww@Answer-Health@Com
