Answers:
Yes, of course there is risk!.

Your anesthesiologist needs to know exactly what drugs you used, and when you used them!. There are drugs that interfere with the medications that we use, and there are other drugs that mess with your body chemistry so that emergency medications we sometimes use won't work!.

The alcohol will be long gone, but I'm much more concerned with the ecstasy (MDMA)!. That drug can interfere with a lot of the drugs we use!. Some of the potential complications are serious - your potassium level can go too high, and that can cause heart problems and death (potassium is what actually kills people in lethal injections)!. There may be neuromuscular interference, and you could end up with severe muscle cramps, or muscle breakdown!.

How do you think your parents will react if you end up in an ICU or morgue!?

This is your life, dude!. Time to come clean, at least with the person who holds your very life in his/her hands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

talk to the doctor and give a complete list of what ever you did in the last thirty days ( I hope you remember everything)!. this is privileged conversation with the doctor!. one of the problems with street drugs is that you do not really know what you were actually taking, the drugs could be mixed with anything!.and probably were!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think its unlikely it will effect the general anesthesia (most of those agents and their metabolites are out of the system by then) but to be on the safe side, I would ask to talk to the anesthesiologist privately before you go back!. Most anesthesiologists come out and talk to their patients while they are in the pre-op area so there will be opportunity to tell them!. The other option is you could mention it to a nurse and ask her to tell the doctor but keep it just between the two of you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you're young and have no liver or kidney issues the drugs should be cleared enough from your system that they won't interact!. The alcohol should be gone as well (that would just increase bleeding)!. I'm not sure about the ecstasy!. But if you'd like to put your mind at ease, let the staff know!. The questions about drug use, smoking and drinking are there to let the staff know if they need to change the drugs in a procedure and can give them a head's up for when the patient wakes up after surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You better be honest with your doctor!. They must know what drugs you have in your system when they have you knocked out during the surgery!. they could possibly give you something that may have an interaction with whatever you have recently put into your system!. not trying to scare you but dude, this could turn out bad if you don't come clean!. They can't tell your parents if you are under 18, That is a breach of confidentiality!. It is called the HIPPA law!. (health information patient privacy act) and you could sue the heck out of who ever would tell your parents good ludkWww@Answer-Health@Com
