Question: Buspar and xanax peope, talk to me! I need your input!.!?
1wk ago my reg!. doc put me on xanax!. My psychiatrist (or whichever this doc is called) put me on buspar after evaluating me today!. The psychiatrist said to take 1/2 a15mg of buspar twice a day!. He said after a week take the whole 15mg twice a day!. Then he said that after time I could get a 20mg or 30mg depending on whether or not I need it!. He also said that if I felt I needed to still take my xanax (!.5mg) then I could take 1, because the medicines don't affect each other!.
My question is!.!. why would I still need the xanax!? What does the buspar do!? and what does the xanax do!? I've only been on the xanax for a week, and I start buspar in the morning!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

How do you go to the doctor or psych for help and get put on medication only for them to tell you that you take a certain dosage, then tell you to increase the dosage after a certain (short) amount of time, with no evaluation!.!.!.!.does that make sense!?!?!?
Isn't it supposed to be the other way around--decrease instead of increase on your own!?!?!?
You might want to be careful, just because a doc prescribes it doesn't mean that you need it!.
Did the doc's tell you what the side effects are when you try to come off of these drugs!.!.!.!.you might want to ask!.!.!.especially with xanax(the brain has a hard time adjusting)Www@Answer-Health@Com
