Is oral thrush hard to treat?!

Question: Is oral thrush hard to treat!?
After having 2 courses of antibiotics, I started having this strange feeling in my tongue like it's been scalded with hot liquid or something and I have this strange bitter taste in my mouth!. I went to my Oral surgeon and he told me it might be oral thrush although I don't have those white patches on my tongue but it's just a little red and slightly white on the sides!. He didn't take a culture because he said OT is hard to detect but he was going to treat me as such anyway!. He gave me a prescription for Mycelex Lozenges to take 5 a day for 10 days!. Well at first I started to feel better, but after about 7 days of using them, I'm back to exactly where I started!. I plan to go back to the Dr!. in a couple of days but in the meantime can someone please tell me if they have any idea what is going on!. Has anyone been through anything similar to this!?!? This is driving me crazy!. !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes!. You probably got it from the antibiotics!.
Keep taking the medication although your thrush could become resistant to it!.
