Question: How long can a bottle of water sit out with the cap off before it is not good anymore!?
it's a crystal geyser brand bottled water, it's been on the desk of a not completely clean room for about 36 hours with the cap off, is it still good!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bacteria!. Water, like any perishable food stuff, can grow bacteria, some of which is NOT good for you!. Mostly, water does not go "bad" for quite some time since it contains additives to prevent bacteria growth!. Bottled water may not contain additives to prevent bacteria growth and COULD pose a hazard!. Look at the label, if it says it is pasteurized, it will likely be good for many days!. The reason why people in 3rd world countries have such a problem with drinking water is the environment contaminating the water with bacteria from the natural environment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
