Question: Is body temperature 102 to risky !? (adult)!?
everything hurts, all my muscles, I have a very little cough and feel like my head is going to explode, it advanced so quickly, in a matter of 2 to 3 hours started feeling worse and worse!. I've had colds before, but this is different,I dont have runny nose at all, I just feel so tired and my heart beats to fast, bad headache, and I feel like when you get sunburn that your skin is hyper sensitive!. What can it be!? this has been going for 24 hours already and my temperature goes from 99!.4 to 102 and I started to feel upset stomach too!.(seriously, I'm not hungevered or staff like that, I'm just sick and want to feel better, I have a lot of things to do and I need to get well!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like Influenza!. Call your doctor and he/she will tell you the best treatment option for your case!.It could also be a nasty bug or something more serious so again, consult your doctor!. If you are sexually active it could be HSV II (gential herpes), HSV I (Oral herpes), Syohilis, HIV/AIDS, or Hep!. B!. But its probally just a bug or influenza!.

Also, take some acetaminophen (Tyenol) for the fever!. If the fever reaches 103 you must go to an ER!. (We tell this to all our patients!.)

104 is risky, check your temp every five minutes if it gets that high or take ibuprofen!. 104!.5, and I'd say go to the er!.

You do NOT have to go to the er at 103 like the above poster stated!. I have had my temp go up to 104 multiple times and never gone to the ER for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
