How many hours of being awake is it normal to start feeling tired?!

Question: How many hours of being awake is it normal to start feeling tired!?
Answers:
I usually start to at least get sleepy once I've been awake 14 hours!. I usually need an hour or so to "settle in" at night, and probably 45 minutes to an hour to really wake up in the morning, which brings my non-sleeping time to 16 hours!.!.!. and that leaves 8 hours for sleep, so I'm guessing that's pretty normal!.

Everybody has fluctuations in their sleep pattern from time to time!. A short nap can help if you're in a situation to take one!. If you REALLY start to feel tired much too early (by YOUR standards), then something is usually amiss, even if it's just that you have a dull job :-) I learned long ago that if I get tired REALLY early, there's a better-than-even chance that I'm just starting to get sick - but that's just me!. Your body usually demands sleep for a reason!.

All that said - most of us CAN stay up and function for a lot longer if we have to on occasion!. It's not a lot of fun to stay up 36 hours straight, but I've had to do it a few times, and survived the experience!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

for me if i wake up at like 6:00 i can easily stay up till 12:00 and after that getting sleepy starts to kick in, mostly cuz of bordem, but if i'm doing something cool ten i don't get remotely tired until around 4:00Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on your metabolism!. With me its about 8-10 hours then I need a nap!. Then, after another 8-10 hours, I need bed for about 4-6 hours and so on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
