Why is it that pain can sometimes feel good?!

Question: Why is it that pain can sometimes feel good!?
When I put my steroid cream on my psoriasis it really burns but at the same time it feels good!. I don't know if it is just that psychologically I am associating the pain with the cream actually working and doing something to help, or maybe that the burning stops the itching so that brings relief!? It is just weird to feel pain but also feel ok!. Any one else had this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Itching itself is a minor form of pain and switching one pain for another actually makes you feel better!. There has recently been some research done on this but I can't give you a link!. It works the same way if you apply something really cold to it!. I have the same problem as you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When we experience pain, we release endorphins!. Coupling this secretion up with decreased feelings of pain, leads to feelings of euphoria, modulation of appetite, release of sex hormones, and enhancement of the immune response!. With high endorphin levels, we feel less pain and fewer negative effects of stress!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My wife used to suffer very badly fro psoriasis until one day her mother introduced her to a faith healer!. She says he never touched her but made her feel quite ill for a time!. Couple of days later the psoriasis started to go away!. She, apart from a tiny little bit on her left elbow, is now completely clear!. So I'm not saying it will work for you, but surely any thing is worth a try!. I know what your going through and I hope you can find your cure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
