Answers:
Technically you will need to sign an "authorization to release/obtain" in order for your records to be sent unless your primary care physician is part of the same health system as the ER you visited and the health system has an electronic medical record system in place and your primary has access to that system!. If a health care organization automatically sends your records without your consent it would be a HIPAA violation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It actually depends!. If you go up to the hospital for an ongoing thing, yes they will!. Legally they can't release your medical records without a release so if it's not an ongoing thing that the Doctor sends you there for, then no, they won't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the hospital has your Dr's name on file they will send him your records, I know mine receives them when I have gone to the hospitalWww@Answer-Health@Com

they should go directly to the doctor if they are in the same health system and you listed a primary doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
