Making a complaint against a doctor?!
Question: Making a complaint against a doctor!?
I went to my surgery yesterday and was seen by a 'new' doctor!. He was horrible, he did not know what he was doing, he did not listen to me, he interrupted me and then sent me on my way feeling pathetic!.
I want to make a complaint!. Should I phone up and speak to the duty manager or should I write a letter!? or talk to someone in person when I go back!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Definitely talk to someone in person!. I have had similar problems and they completely ignored my letter I sent and the person I talked with on the phone (the "manager") hung up on me!. I went in person and they finally listened!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Refuse to see that doctor again, they probably have a complaints box somewhere in the surgary!. I went to my doctors yesterday and i have exactly the same problem, there are that many doctors there that you never see the same one twice!. And all the nice doctors have a waiting list for weeks!. Screwed either way!. The best thing is when your prescribed for something you dont even need, because your doctor hasnt bothered listening to you!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
What he did was not negligent or malpractice!. He probably told you what you didn't want to hear!. Just because you didn't gel with him that is not worthy of a complaint!. Go and see a different doctor but don't complain about the one you have just seen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You have 2 options, tell the surgery, or write to the Medical Board!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
