Driving with a hip replacement?!

Question: Driving with a hip replacement!?
I want to teach my fiance Michael to drive, however, he has a metal hip on his left side, would this inhibit his ability to drive a manual as the clutch is on the left!? my car is a manual as is his parents vehicles, his parents have tried to teach him to drive but he has difficulty co-ordinating his feet due to his metal hip, would it possible for him to drive an auto where there is no need for the clutch!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If your Michael has a hip replacement that has healed and he has been approved to drive, he should have no trouble driving a car with either kind of transmission!.

I've had both hips replaced and can drive anything!. Your statement that "!.!.!.he has difficulty co-ordinating his feet due to his metal hip!.!.!." puzzles me as most hip replacement patients do not have this kind of difficulty although this might be the case if his surgery is very recent and he has not completed physical therapy!.

As an aside, I think it would be easier to learn how to drive an automatic if one has never driven before, regardless of whether or not they have a hip replacement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
