Question: Did anyone read about the iron lung!.!.!.!?
I was on Foxnews and reading about a lady who had been in an iron lung for 61 years!. Until this story I have never even heard of an iron lung!. Does anyone know anything about it!.!.!.Can you ever get out!? Are you in there all day everyday of your life!? You would think with modern medicine that there would be something else that they could do!. Does anyone know anyone who had to do this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

We now have newer and better machines to do what the iron lung used to do!. However, the lady who was in it and died, the story was that the polio that caused her to need the iron lung also caused a deformity of her spine that kept her from using the newer machines!. If you had to use one, yes, it would be all the time, everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There are newer versions of the iron lung, however this particular lady was unable to wear one, due to something with her spinal cord, I think!. As for getting out of an iron lung, yes, most people can get out of it for short periods of time, but since it actually helps you breathe, it's not good to stay out of it for long!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
