No Smell and little taste, what is going on?!
Question: No Smell and little taste, what is going on!?
Two weeks ago I started to get headaches in my occipital area!. Shortly after this I became heavily congested and lost my voice!. I no longer have the headaches, but have started a raspy cough and the sinus congestion is still there!. I can also breathe through my nose and yet I am still congested!. All the while I am unable to smell or taste anything!. What should I do for a remedy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rhinitis, sinusitis!. If your mucus is yellow or green you have a bacterial sinus infection & need an antibiotic!.
Try Mucinex-D to loosen & thin mucus & decongest you (it works great)make your cough more productive & less frequent;
Take Advil or Aleve to reduce inflammation;
Gargle with very warm salt water 3-4X/day;
Gargle with Hydrogen peroxide (it will feel weird because of bubbles;
Tea with honey & lemon;
Suck on Zinc lozenges, suck on cough drops with eucalyptus;
Vit C!. 2000mg every 2 hours for 2-3 days;
Zinc 50mg!.
Taste really comes from your olfactory sense!.!.!.so if you can't smell your taste will be very dulled!.

For sinus infection, I recommend a nasal lavage with weak salt water, and hydrogen peroxide in water (pint to gal) in a COOL mist vaporizer!. Should be better in two days!. Many other things can contribute!. Mineral deficiencies pinched nerves,!. inflamed adenoids, (for a starting list)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Anytime you have you have a cold or sinus symptoms you are going to have a hard time smelling things!. Because smell has a lot to do with taste, things will seem like they have little or not taste to them!. Once you clear up, smelling and tasting will return!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
