Question: Help! My baby is sick!? Please Read!!!?
My 6 year old daughter came home Friday sick from school w/ only fever of 103!.2 nothing else,the fever came and went until Tuesday(at times I thought she was better), took her to doctors on Tuesday, negative for strep doctor said take antibiotics and go to hospital get blood work check platelets, acted strange, had me upset, called back later to tell me her platlets were 62, low but enough, and that last time they were 153, now she has been taking cyphlexin(antibiotic) since Tuesday evening, last night she complained of vagina pain, she has since said no more pain there, coughs some but doctor said no strep, Im lost, her fever goes away then comes with no real other symptoms, almost three days on meds and no change what do I do!?

This happened to my little sister when she was six also!.
We took her to the doctor several times and they did not do anything!.
A 103 fever is pretty bad if it gets that bad again put her in a lukewarm bath or an ice bath!.
For my sister it turned out after we brought her to the hospital they said she had pneumonia, and then they treated her for that!.
You said your daughter had vagina pain, my sister never had this maybe that might have been a bladder infection or something similar to that!.

I kind of wonder why the doc gave her antibiotics!? Her fever is fighting what is wrong with her!. Prescription meds can have many side effects!. Her body is fighting what is wrong with her but doctors try to be the heros and give meds which simply disturb this process!. Keep her down and hydrated, let her body do the work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
ok u shoulfd go bck to the docter and tell them dnt worry ok i llove kids just keep checking her and also by her more meds and put a cold rag on her and call her docter like i said but take good care of her i bet ur girl is cutie and sweet i think she has the bad sickness but she ok i might be a heat strock i had oneWww@Answer-Health@Com
My mom works at a daycare and sees it all the time!. It usually goes away in a week!. She's never really seen much more than just a fever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well keep an eye on her at all times and when she goes to school contact het somehoe and ask how you daughter is at school!. if this sickness gets worse go to the emergency room right away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
