Just cutting back is the main thing!. Like if you can get down to one or two a day I wouldn't even worry about it anymore!. It takes around 15-20 pack years (a pack a day for 15-20 years) before most major medical problems are likely to set in (if you are doubting that, just google around for the statistics for whatever disease you are concerned with, they aren't hard to find)!.

If you cut it back to say 2 cigarettes a day, it would take well over 100 years before you'd see such conditions, and facts are you'll be long dead by then anyways from other causes!.

The clutch thing is, don't see quitting as an all or nothing deal!. If you stop smoking and stay that way, then great, but if not then don't just throw in the towel because you broke down and had a few cigarettes when you were boozed one night!. I've had a lot of friends "quit" for a few months, then have just one cigarette and be like "oh geeze, I'm a smoker again!." They saw things as that either you smoke or you don't and they went right back to where they were smoking a pack and a half a day!. It's just silly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are craving a cigarette try nicorette!. And for suggestions go to 1800-acs-2345 or www!.cancer!.org these are both from the american cancer society my mom used to work there and she said that they will send u all kinds of booklets on how to help you!. And it will be confidential!!! I am 15 as well and i greatly appreciate your decision to stop smoking now and not go down in a book as a lung cancer death statistic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i started smokin when i was fifteen also!. i knows it sounds wierd but when i HAD to quit i chewed on straws and spoons!. they seemed to take some of my tension out and gave me something to do!.!. with my hands and mouth

* you might have some long term effects on your lungs from smoking already!. idk it depends on how long youve been doing it but at least your acknowledging it and quiting! SMART!
eventually youll stop coughing!. i did!
your should see a change in your teeth within a reasonable amount of time!.

hope this helps a little! :) good luck and congrats!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i've smoked since i was 12 so im not judging you at all!! im 23 now so that is 11 years!. i've had to quit smoking 4 times!.!.!.each time i got pregnant!. the way i dealt with it is first off, u gotta really want to quit!. second u gotta stay away from anyone that smokes or any situation that will make u want to smoke!. and third find things to keep u busy!. my grandma chews gum everytime she wants a cigarette!. go to the gym or do an after school activity or swim!. it will get ur mind off of it!. good luck to uWww@Answer-Health@Com
