Answers:
It depends on how much oxygen is in your blood, not your lungs!. If you relax your body and slow down your heartbeat and metabolism, you can go without air for quite a while if you're in very good physical shape!.

You can also train your body to process oxygen in the blood better through physical exercise - the number of red blood cells in your blood increase!.

Synchronized swimmers are probably the best at this!. They only go about 1 to 2 minutes without air, but they're doing it during strenuous exercise - not just relaxing!. Their pulse is usually running around 180 to 200 bpm!. At rest, some of them have been reported to be able to go a long time without air (4 minutes or longer) just because their bodies process oxygen in the blood better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

David Blaine held his breath for 8 minutes with no brain damage, and someone else did it for 9 minutes!. Without training, the worst thing that can happen is that you can lose conciousness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

trained military men can hold their breath underwater in a bathtub for 5 min and they suffer from no brain damage
the key is that they engulf a lot of air and force themselves to sleep mode!.!.!.no sudden movements, no thoughtsWww@Answer-Health@Com
