I work with the Deaf and yes they have vibrating pads under their pillows that connect to alarm clocks and fire alarms to wake them up!. There are lights that can be used that can interrupt sleep, but they don't always work on deep sleepers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
some deaf people do use normal alarm clocks!. what they do is that they set them up for the time that they want to get up at and put it under their pillow, this is so that when it goes off the vibrations from the clock wakes them up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
