It sounds like it could be thoracic outlet syndrome!. I have had that for years and thought it was carpal tunnel syndrome until I went to massage school and realized exactly what it was!. There is nerve impingement in your shoulder that causes the sharp pain, tingling and numbness!. I would go see a massage therapist and tell them what is going on!. They can help both with the sciatica and the shoulder problem!. Basically this happens when you are in the same position day after day and the muscles freeze in that position causing the impingement!. Also trying stretching during the day, especially your shoulders to help move them around!. Really try out massage, it is alot cheaper than going to the Doctor's or even Physical Therapy!. It does wonders and has helped me out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you could have both cervical & lumbar disc problems!.

1) See your doctor!. Physical therapy +/- MRI may be needed!.
2) Ibuprofen seems to work well!. An Rx strength may help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
