Someone wrote that weed may be the CAUSE of your depression and I second that!. Because marijuana can cause either hyperactivity and paranoia or extreme lethargy and lack of motivation, it is often considered both a depressant AND a stimulant!
This mainly depends on the type you are using, but also on your body chemistry and personality!.
No doctor is going to prescribe weed for depression, unless they are reasonably sure it will WORK, which no one can claim now!.
Most of the people I know who are heavy smokers exhibit many signs of depression, consistently, whereas some may find that their mood is elevated!. In some cases, people even experience psychosis (that'd be me! Heh-heh)!.
Seriously, if you think you're depressed, see a therapist, get diagnosed and properly treated!. You won't get a buzz off of most modern anti-depressants, but your life could improve!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm pretty sure that they only prescribe medical marijuana to people with cancer!. I don't think that weed helps depression, anyway!. (Maybe it depends on the person, but I've found that if I'm feeling negative and I smoke, those feelings get worse!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Even the few places in the U!.S!. that are struggling with approval for medical marijuana do not have depression on their approved treatments list!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
