If you light a match when you fart, does it make a flame?!

Question: If you light a match when you fart, does it make a flame!?
I don't know if it is true but I wanted to know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The answer to that is yes!Farts burn because they contain methane and hydrogen, both of which are flammable gases!.
Farts tend to burn with a blue or yellow flame!.
However, you should be aware that people get injured igniting flatulence!. Not only can the flame back up into your colon, but your clothing or other surroundings may catch on fire!. A survey done by Fartcloud indicates that about a quarter of the people who ignited their farts got burned doing it!. Ignition of flatulence is a hazardous practice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've not tried it, but, Adam C is right!. Intestinal gas can contain methane, an odorless gas which is produced by bacteria in your gut when you digest things like whole grains, and it does burn with a blue flame!. Most of the volume of intestinal gas is simply air you swallow with your food!. Bad smells come from digesting sulfur-containing products, amino acids from meat, that sort of thing!.

Putting open flame anywhere near your bottom can result in burns!. I just wouldn't go there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you light a match NEAR the fart, it will increase your chances of ignition!. If the velocity of the fart is too high, it can blow out the match!. A lighter with a big flame works better, but be careful that you don't catch your underwear on fire, and God forbid you get a backdraft!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have never seen nor attempted the experiment but this is so well attested and logical that I view it as simply a fact!.
