The longer you stay outside in the heat, do you get more use to it?!

Question: The longer you stay outside in the heat, do you get more use to it!?
Like if you stay outside all day or as much as you can when it is like 80-90 degrees outside, will you soon be able to tolerate it more so you wont get so hot as fast!?

Also I live in MN and the dewpoint gets into the upper 60's so it just plain out muggy and sticky outside with all the humidity!. What are the best ways to get use to the humidity so u dont have to go inside all the time!.

Also for the answers im not looking for anything that has to do with going in A/C!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes about 2 weeks to get used to the heat!.

This is an issue in occupational medicine and sports medicine, so there are a lot of articles on "heat acclimation" if you want to browse more in yahoo!.

Heres one to get you started: http://brassmein!.com/articles/acclimatio!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you change climates for any length of time you get used to what you experience there!. Since that is the case, where there's a drastic change you need to expose yourself to those conditions in short periods of time and get used to the changes!. No matter what climate you live in make sure you drink plenty of water even if you do get used to the conditions and temperatures!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, you'll probably get used to the heat and humidity the more you stay outside!. Also You'll get used to it the less you think about it and in that case, once you get done reading this, don't read any other replies!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you get used to it more but I hated it!. And the more time I spent in the heat, the more I hated it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on the person

I would assume that if you stayed out in that kind of heat long enough or stayed out for a certain period of time--like if its always that hot and you were outside everyday- you would be able to tolerate the heat better!.
I'm not sure if you did this it would help you sweat less or make you less hot--you would just be able to stand the heat better!.

I think its the same for the humidity!. If you're out in it all the time you will soon forget about it!.
But if you have already tried that then don't wear clingy clothes!.

-hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com
