Question: Hey HELP PLEASE! thnks!?
my head and throat hurt!. for two days!. thats it!. i dont feel week or anything!. just my head and throat!. i used to have allergies in the 5th grade but now im in 8th, and havent had them ever since!. can this be allergies or what!? do i have cold!? i dont have fever or anything!. on and off headache and on and off sore throat!. thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not possible to know the answer unless you go to the doctor and get tested!. But, if it is just a cold, save your money because there really isn't a cure for it anyway!. Allergies typically cause itchy, watery eyes with sneezing, coughing, scratchy throat, etc!. Illnesses from viruses cause fever, cough, sore throat, headaches, muscle aches, enlarged glands in the neck, etc!. If it is mostly your throat that is hurting you, I would ask if it hurts more when you cough or when you swallow!. If it is very painful to swallow and you have large tonsils, with a fever, you may have strep!. If it is worse when you cough, it is probably a virus that doesn't require antibiotics!. My advice is to use antihistamines like Loratadine or Benadryl, and Tylenol or Ibuprofen for discomfort!. Going to the doctor for that is really a waste of money (though it keeps us in business!!) Generally, there is nothing more of a cure, unless it is a bacteria!. The bacterial signs are those that I mentioned above (fever, swollen glands, painful throat, large tonsils, pus, muscle aches, etc!.)

Could just be the beginning of a cold!. I would take a trip to your primary care doctor though to make sure!.

Do you still have your tonsils!? You may have inflamed tonsils that could be causing referred pain to your head!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be allergies!. Some years can be worse for allergies than others!. Some years I don't have a reaction at all, and other years it's really bad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
