Answers:
No, there has been studies done on this and i actually asked a pharmacist the same question once myself, the cheap ones work exactly the same as the expensive brands!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Some branded tablets may contain other drugs eg Asprin, or Coedine, or stimulants like caffine to make them more 'effective'!. You should always read the label, since some of these can cause sensitivity in some people!. Basically it is the same drug in fancy packaging and at huge extra cost!.

Buying BP unbranded guarnatees you are only getting what you are asking for, and you can always wash the tabs down with a cup of coffee to be as effective as the branded stuff!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I usually buy the generic version, but I find that I have to drink 3 tablets of them, and only 2 Panadol's to do the same job!. So I personally think the generic paracetamol is a bit weaker than the Panadol, but it's so much cheaper that I just take the extra tablet!. If I have a really bad headache I usually drink Panadol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes I wonder if these drugs aren't just relying on the placebo effect!.

Here are three common sense steps to deal with a headache, in each case allow 10 minutes for the remedy to take effect!.

Before you pop a pill, try to destress with some nice calming music and/or breathing exercises!. Meditate, go somewhere quiet and daydream of forests or grassy plains, whatever calms you down!. Even praying has proven to remedy stress!.

If it persists have a cup of tea or coffee, not decaf!. Or even an energy drink (blech, horrible stuff!.) Caffeinated cola, very refreshing, will also do the trick!.

If calming and caffeine failed to fix it, pop a cheap tablet; first one type then the other paracetomol/aspirin!. If that doesn't fix it, arrange an appointment with a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No difference in what the drug is doing to your body (providing that the dosage is the same) but the more expensive brands do carry a powerful placebo effect!.

Studies have shown that if people are told they are taking an very expensive brand of painkiller their pain disapears quicker and more effictively, even if the pills are actually the cheapest supermarket own make!. A bit like when you where a kid and your mum kissed your sore finger better!. In fact there was even one study I remember seeing on tv where people where given a sugar pill for their headaches and told it was prescription painkiller more powerful than anything in the shops!. Most of the test subjects headaches where gone in 20 minutes!.

Never underestimate the power of the dark side!.!.!.!.er, I mean placebo!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no not at all!. all medicine companies have to be regulated by a governing body cant remember the name anyway all the ingredients that go into say cheap paracetamol are the same as the ones that go into panadol the drug companies tell us that the price difference is because of all the research they carry out into that particular drug !. which is total rubbish ,its just like shopping in quick save then marks and sparks same food different price high street snobberyWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is a price war, buy Tesco or something, cos the drug is the same, just like any other product you pay a higher price for brand names!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah it's just a price difference - if you read the box they should state what ingredients and amounts they have and you can see they're the same!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

thereis absolutely no difference, the chemical structure is exactly the same!. you just pay for the brand nameWww@Answer-Health@Com

Theres no difference at all, b sides the price obviously!. as long as there the same mg then you have nothing to worry about =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
