How to open an complaint at a hospital?!
Question: How to open an complaint at a hospital!?
Long story short!. I had a knee surgery about 7 months ago!. My doctor is 2 hours away!. I was having complications!. I called my doctor; he told me to go to the ER right away; said he thought it was a staph infection!. Went to the ER!. The ER doctor just looked at it; did NO test; didn't touch it; get within 5 feet of it!. Just said; "we dont do rashes!." Then proceeded to spend the next hour telling us life stories!. I asked to see another doctor, but he said no one could help me and to go see my dermotolgist on Monday!. Then the hospital sent me $100 bill for the ER visit!. My insurance paid out $80 to the ER and another $300 to the doctor!. I have written eight (8) letters to the hospital about what happened and how I do not think I should have to pay for the lack of medical care I received!. They just ignore me and keep billing me for it!. How can I go to the "next step" to get this dealt with!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I live in Australia and have had something similar happen through the hospital system!.I firstly lodged a formal report of the incident directly to our Health commision!.I am not sure what your Health department would be called in your country but I am pretty certain if you made some enquiries you could find out!.Write everything down what happened!.All the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You did receive medical care though!.!.!. you spent time in a room with the doctor!. During that time, he could not see other patients!. You are being charged for the time spent!. Doesnt matter if it was 2 minutes or 2 hours in a room with him!.!.!. you still have to pay for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
