Can someone tell me what are the effects of regularly eating excess carbohydrates!?

Are all fats bad for the health!? if not why!? if yes why also!?

I went to school for human nutrition and foods and I will tell you what I know:

Carbs are essential to your body, in fact around 50-60% of your diet should be carbohydrates!. However, there are two kinds of carbs, simple and complex!. Simple carbs are broken down and digested very quickly, but most simple carbs contain refined sugars and very few essential vitamins and minerals!. Examples include table sugar, fruit juice, milk, yogurt, honey, molasses, maple syrup and brown sugar!. The complex carbs take longer to digest and are packed with fiber, vitamins and minerals!. Examples include vegetables, whole grain breads, oatmeal, legumes, brown rice and wheat pasta!.
Complex carbohydrates, despite all the negative press they receive in some of the popular weight loss books
