Any good ways to get rid of a sore throat?!


Question: Any good ways to get rid of a sore throat!?
I have had a sore throat today, was just wondering if there was any way for it to go lol

Drink a hot cup of milk mixed with 1 spoon of sugar and 1 spoon of honey!. My Mum gave this to me whenever i had a sore throat it really does work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on the cause:

strep throat: need a throat culture by your MD or ER and an antibiotic!.

because of sinus drainage: try over-the-counter sinus medications, and push the fluids to reduce the thick mucus draining in the back of your throat!. Try sleeping with your head propped up!. Most sinus allergies are caused by viruses and it will take 5-7 days to clear!. After that, it may be bacterial and need an antibiotic but it could also be rebound sinusitis!.

because of talking or screaming too much: don't talk, don't whisper for a couple of days!.

itchy sore throat: tons of remedies that will help with the soreness but will still take time for your body to heal!. Some remedies are tea and honey, salt water rinses, cepacol spray (for numbing), listerine rinses, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A lot of liquid (non-alcohol)!. It's a common belief that it must be tea with honey and lemon, but it's not necessary so!. It surely can be, but it's almost no different than pure water!. Why is that so!? Well, tea is considered as a calming and tasteful drink - nothing wrong with that!. Honey is actually sugar in slightly different shape!. Though people connect it with numerous healing effects, it's not so!. It just tastes better than ordinary sugar!. (On the other hand "queen bee's euphorbia" is very remedial)!. Lemon contains a lot of vitamin C!. Again nothing wrong with that!. But there's a lot of fruits and vegetables containing at least as much or more vit!. C as lemon!. Oranges have it as much or mandarins, even cabbage or pine tree needles are full of it!. But vit!. C is to be consumed in moderate amounts!. And it is only a preventive remedy for body's immune system!. BTW, heat treat destroys most of the vitamins!.
Avoid antibiotics if not really necessary!. They have limited effect on respiratory inflammations!. If it's a case of simple cold, just drink a lot (than again, don't exaggerate), ease your daily routines and have a lot of sleep!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take some vitamin C!. Drink some Chamomile tea, then have a spoonful of lemon and honey!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
