Is Red Bull safe for the elderly?!

Question: Is Red Bull safe for the elderly!?
I'm asking because my dad (62) wants to drink Red Bull on fishing trips so he can stay awake all night!. He is taking meds to reduce high blood pressure, and his pressure is currently normal!.
I'm against him drinking it since I don't know what kind of effects it might have on him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
He should talk to his dr!. Red bull has the caffeine amount that can really increase heart rate!.
You can call his drs!. office and advise them of what he wants to do and ask them to info dr, better yet, ask your dad to do it to get the go ahead!.
Some seniors cannot take it because of speeding their heart rate up, some can in limited amounts!. Tell your dad why you are worried and ask him to call dr!.
He is old enough to do what he wants, of course, but I do understand the worries!. Talking to him about WHY may help him to talk to you more about his medical conditions!.
By the way, he isn't considered elderly he is considered a senior!. Elderely in today's society usually starts at 75 now!.
Arguing with him isn't going to change his mind if he decides to drink it!. So good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
