Are you an organ donor?!

Question: Are you an organ donor!?
Does anyone in your family know!? Have you checked it on your drivers license, or have you made your intentions known to a loved one who would have a final say at your death!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I am and they do!.
While we're on this subject: everybody, young and old, needs a "Living Will" and "Durable Health Care Power of Attorney"!. These are not nearly as scary as they sound and they both ensure that your wishes are known and health care facilities are obligated to honor these documents!.
The "Living Will" describes what kind of measures you want taken in the event you become so incapacitated that you cannot make decisions!. It can be a specific as you want!.
The "Durable Heath Care Power of Attorney" identifies who you want to make decisions for you if you are unable to make them for yourself!.
Both of these documents are governed by state laws in most states!. You should let your family know about these decisions as well as your "health care representative" (the person you select as your decision-maker) should keep THE ORIGINAL of these documents in an easily-accessible place or know where they are!.
The "decision-maker" should not witness the document and should not have any "vested" interest (inheritance) at your death!.
Check your state's law about these documents: in some cases you do not need an attorney to effect these documents nor must they be notarized!.
As a veteran RN I KNOW the benefit of these documents in settling disputes about a loved one's care, at the bedside, in times of extremis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, I guess that I've been around too long to trust someone, other than family, to make that decision!. And I prefer to make the decision for my love ones!.
Any number of factors could come in to play in a very short period of time!.
Sorry, but when it comes to Family, I will err on the side of caution!.
And tell your Mother that I think I'm a little jealous of this "Man" that's visiting!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't drive but it's on my state ID card AND I've let my children know that I'll haunt them if my wish to be a donor isn't honored!. Their father has made it clear too that HE is also a donor in case we go together!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. I dont believe anyone needs to know, at the time of your death im sure it will be discovered one way or another!. Organs are in such high demand that i dont think anyone is going to forget your a donor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes I am!. All my family knows, and it's on my license!. I figure since I'll be dead I won't need 'em, so let somebody use em!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
