What do I do about my Fight/Flight Reaction!?!


Question: What do I do about my Fight/Flight Reaction!!?
I have learned about a bit about the Flight or Fight Reaction from around!. I basically understand how it works!. I understand that it is caused by a chemical insurgence of some form of chemical in the body that causes Adrenaline to either Fight, or Flight, basically!.

The problem is, Whenever I am put in a position where I need to Fight somebody (to my credit, it's almost always in self-defense), I get the Flight chemical reaction!. It's driving me crazy!!

I want to join the military (particularly the Army) but how can I manage if I get this stupid reaction!!?

So I ask: Is there any possible way to regulate the chemicals and/or reaction so that it isn't a Flight reaction!?

Note: I play sports and do events such as Football, Paintball, Street Hockey, and I don't get the Reaction at all!.

How come I'm so afraid of fighting people, even when I know clearly that I outmatch them (not to sound like a jerk)!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

There isn't really a way to control the actual chemical reaction!. It is a natural thing for people's brains to want to keep them from doing anything that could cause harm to the body, which is probably why you are experiencing the "flight" response in certain situations!. This is not a bad thing though!. Through continued exposure to things that make you want to respond with "flight" you could probably learn to control this reaction!. Think about what goes on inside your head when you play sports and try to apply and use those feelings in the "flight" situations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
