Can someone who is allergic to penicillin take fluconazole??!

Question: Can someone who is allergic to penicillin take fluconazole!?!?
Answers:
you should be able to!. I don't think it has anything to do with Penicillin!. I checked the nursing drug book and under contraindications it only says contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the drug!. It says nothing about penicillin!. I've taken fluconazole a few times and I didn't feel any side effects at all, so I don't think it's very side-effect prone drug!. I have a pretty sensitive system too, I took sulfur drugs for a bladder infection and I couldn't breath after that!.!.!. that's how sensitive I am to drugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your allergic the fungi so use a good antifungal like nystatin or dyflucan! but take and get some milk thissle from walmart! becuz these drugs can cause liver damage!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe they can!. The only contraindication would be for a person with a hypersensitity to the the class azole!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
