Question: Does haveing a IV started for a CT w contrast hurt!?
I have a mass in my neck that my docter ordered a ct scan with and without contrast!. I flipped over just having blood drawn today!. How bad does the iv hurt for the contrast and can they give me anything to make it hurt less!? My appointment is tomorrow, all this is happening to fast, but it's better than waiting!.

It isn't bad at all!. When they inject the contrast medium you may feel warm or get a metallic taste in your mouth but that is pretty much it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it wont hurt that much just turn your head, and dont watch!.!.!. hoepfully they will attempt a flush prior to pumping contrast!. if the IV fails the contrast burns like the devil!.!.!. happened to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
