A frozen shoulder is a stiff, painful shoulder stemming from inflammation in one of the soft tissues around the shoulder, e!.g!. a tendon, bursa, the joint capsule!. It does not affect the joint surfaces and is not arthritis!. In time it will go and is unlikely to return, but this can take many months!. You need to exercise to try to increase the range of movement but sometimes the pain is so severe that this is not possible!.
