A tic in my ear?!

Question: A tic in my ear!?
Well it's tic season!. And I felt something crawling inside my inner ear!. Like a "moving itch!." I kept asking people to look in my ear and see if they saw anything!. They didn't!.

Then the itching/crawling feeling stopped for about a week!.

Suddenly I have a large bump behind my ear, near my neck!. Could a tic travel that far!?

I do have an appointment today with the doc's to check it out, but am bummin' to go, because I have to miss work, which I don't want to do! I called my boss to say I was going to the doc's, and she didn't seem happy!. Maybe I should wait and see a doc over the weekend, or do you think this needs immediate attention!?

Although, I am not usually prone to pimples, it also almost feels like it could be a pimple!. Would be a shame to miss work over a pimple! lol!.

Are there indicators to tell if it's a tic!? If I squeeze it to see if it is a pimple and it's not, will it push the tic further down or squish it!? How would they get it out if it was!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sounds to me like you have a pimple or bump for some reason!. Ticks are surface insects and do not burrow under the skin!. They do swell up as they suck blood out of you!. If you felt a tick when it was swelled up, you would easily feel it move around as you pushed your finger against it!. Chances are you would even dislodge the tick!. You may have a boil or even a blackhead but don't second guess it or listen to a non professional, best to have it checked out by a trained professional!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I seriously doubt that it is a tic, and even if it was, once it had traveled down your ear canal you would not be feeling on the outside behind your ear!. You would have pain in your ear and probably your hearing would be affecting somewhat!. As for the bump I would try and see if you can have someone look at it to see if it looks like a pimple!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
