Consider that there may be bacteria, mold, algae, bird poop and squirrel pee on your roof!. Depending on where you live there may also be contaiminants in the rain from air pollution or crop dusting!. Probably wouldn't harm you to bathe in it but I definitely wouldn't drink it without filtering and treating it first!. The chemicals that are added to the municipal water supply are added for a reason!. It's not 'pure' water falling from the sky!. To get pure water you need to boil, filter and treat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Unless you live at Chernoble your chances of having acid rain or strong pollutants is extremely scarce!. Rain water is the most pure source of water you can find but your roof may be polluted, if not just enjoy!. I know women who only wash their hair in rain water because it contains no chemicals!. In some areas of the country rain water is saved in wells for drinking water!. If they can drink it I'm sure you can bath in it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Wouldn't think so , I would not drink !. The rain can have acid in it but not enough to hurt your skin unless you have sensitive skin, I think I would be more worried about what chemicals that could wash off the roofing materials!. Rainwater is generally very clean (depending upon where you live)!. It is basically pure water!. It should pose no problems but after a while water can be a breeding ground for bacteria!. This is why swimming pools use PH additaves and chlorine!.
