Question: What SPF should I use!?
I have fair skin and I am tired of it!. I want to get a tan this summer!. However, I burn easily and have a history of skin cancer in my family!. What SPF will protect me from the sun, yet allow me to get some color!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would need to go often as tanning isn't as easy as just going once!. I am fair skin as well!. I am in Miami where the sun is fierce, so it also depends where you are as well!. What I did to get tanned these past 3 weeks is go to the beach every weekend!. I made a mistake the first weekend and burned, I ended up putting bannana boat oil spf 15 only!. Dummy me, but I learned, there after, I did the spf 35, (I went 3 times a week to tan though) then now as my skin is more accustomed I do the Banna boat oil spf 15 for the 1st hour in the sun, then I apply the 35mg, and it's been great this way, i am as dark as I wanted to be!. =0)

Fair skinned and a history of skin cancer!.!.!.!.!.!.!.hmmmmm, sorry but you're going to have to fake it!. There is no such thing as a safe real tan and if there is a history of skin cancer in your family you are probably at greater risk with even moderate sun exposure!. I'm not sure how fair you are but with your family history I wouldnt go below a factor 20-25!. Dying to get a tan this year could mean just that in your case, dont risk it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
