Answers:
It is never wise to mix drugs and alcohol!. It bothers me that you don't know if you took 1 or 2 darvocet tablets!. Since you are writing this I would assume you are o!.k!. Your jabbing pain's are possibly caused by your gastro system which you are abusing in an extreme way!. My brother-in-law had to get a illeostomy,(an ileostomy provides a new path for waste material to leave the body after part of the intestine has been removed) after abusing alcohol after a gastric bypass!. I suspect by the tone of your question that you know what you are doing is dangerous!. Why go through the grief of a gastric bypass just to destroy your health!? Maybe a little counseling or overeaters anonymous could help you with this compulsive behaviour!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"Alcohol can increase unwanted side effects when combined with acetaminophen and propoxyphene [Darvocet]!. Alcohol can intensify the drowsiness and dizziness Darvocet may cause in some people!. Propoxyphene in combination with alcohol has been found to be a cause of drug-related deaths!. Alcohol may also increase liver toxicity caused by acetaminophen!."

I know that when you have gastric bypass alcohol is something that gets in your system fast and are you sure you had that much!? Sounds fishy to me!. It is not a very good idea to mix alcohol and medications especially narcotics, yes, it can cause death!.!.!.sounds like you are trying to sabotage all the good work you have done with having weight loss surgery or your new beginning is the ending for you!.!.!.get into counseling, sounds like you are having to get another addiction from food to alcohol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The meds are for pain, or something, it says on the label!. It also says Do not take with alcohol!.
People that cannot read should not be allowed more than one capsule at a time!.
If you cannot keep track or account for how many that you may or may have not ingested!. that is pretty messed up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am not trying to be overly symplistic about this but the true answer is get some help before you end up killing yourself!. Perhaps your doctor did not tell you but if you have had a gastric bypass you should not drink!. Statistics also say that people who have had gastric bypass surgery are more likely to become addicted to other substances!. Seek help before it is too late!.
