Question: Augmentin XR 2006!?
I think i have an ear infection and cant afford to go to the doctor b/c i dont have insurance!. i found some augmentin xr pills from 06!. augmentin is for infections and **** b/c i had it before!. my question is do you think its still any good!? would it be beneficial or harmful to take!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

No!. Do not take these pills!. People often think that just because medication is expired it is still okay to take!.!.!.it's just not as strong!. Wrong!.
Medications go through a chemical change when there are expired!. Not only are they not as strong, so they will not work, the chemical inside them can change and cause even more problems for you!.
Also, when people take old or incorrect or just don't take all there antibiotics, this can cause the Methicillin- Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus or MRSA!. This means that your infection will get worse because it is resistant to antibiotics!.
unless you are in severe pain or green drainage is coming out of your ear, try a decongestant!. Often this will help the pressure in your ears!. You can also warm the area behind the ear with a hairdryer for pain relief!.
But your best bet is to go to the doctor, and get diagnosed!. If you do have an ear infection you need to be on medication!.
