Hi there,

Are you taking the cough medicine and sleeping pills at the same time!? Many people don't realize that you should be extra careful to stay away from taking certain medications together at the same time!. This is because the liver which is responsible for breaking down the majority of medications as well as toxins, has certain enzymes (such as cytochrome p450) that are specific for certain compounds!.

So certain drugs may be broken down by the same enzyme, and if injested at the same time, the drugs compete for binding sites on the enzyme!. The drugs end up not producing the desired effect!. or a much smaller effect!. Check the labels of the two medications to be sure they don't interfere with each other!.

Water doesn't mess with the effects at all!. As a matter of fact, it is good to drink water because it helps to dissolve the medication, thus making it available to disseminate systemically and provide you with the desired effect!. Many medications require that you drink at least 8 ounces of water with each dose!. So don't worry, drink up! ;-)

I hope this helps! RegardsWww@Answer-Health@Com
