Sever reactions to bug bites in a young child...?!
Question: Sever reactions to bug bites in a young child!.!.!.!?
My son is 2 in 3 months and swells alot from bug bites!. I know one time one of the bites for sure was a misquito but all the other times I havent seen whats biting him!.
The first time he swelled from a bite he was like 9 months!. Now that we have moved into a new house he has bites all the time and Im worried that giving him benedryl all the time will either cause him harm or make him immune to it or someother scary possibility!. The wierdest thing is he swells from only some bites while with others he's perfectly normal!.
His bites that he has the reactions with will swell quiet large and make the skin tight and are hot!. I can even see his pulse in them!. They later swell so bad they bust open and drain clear liquid!. After a week or so they heal and leave scars!.
I don't know what to do about it!. I took him to the ER with one of them and they just said it would heal and to give him benedryl till the swelling goes away!.
I feel so helpless! Should I be doing anything else!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have bad reactions to bug bites, especially mosquitos i get hot lumps the size of quarters from the bites, best thing that has helped me is basic calamine lotion, takes the itch away and they seem to heal faster and that way i'm not all drowsy from benadril =)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Have an exterminator come to your house!. They can most effectively treat the inside and the outside for bugs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
