Answers:
Well - sometimes a leading specialist is brilliant in diagnosing but doesn't have good bedside manner, or doesn't communicate well!.
Sometimes famous specialist may be well known for research and publishing, but might not be so great in clinical setting!.

If you are not getting effective treatment (even if the diagnosis is right) and you think the doctor is ignoring communication needs, then ask for or find another specialist!.

Yeah, the others are right!. Since you are 14 it shoudn't make much difference in seeing a general Gastroenterologist!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been seeing an adult doctor since I was your age!. It makes me feel much more informed!. Pediatrics tend to sugar coat things, and that makes me mad!. I'd make the switch!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
