It helps if we know the habit!.
also!.!.!. by choice or compulsive!. That matters!. It could be something neurological!.!.!. Tourettes, OCD, etc!.

1!. Identify what you need to change!.
2!. Find a strategy to change it !.!.!. a little!. Not all at once!.
For example: Not do it for one hour a day!.
3!. Keep it at that level for a few days to a week!.
4!. Slowly move it up!. A little at a time!. Each week, go an hour longer, or whatever it is!.
5!. Eventually, this is cut out of your life!.

However!.!.!. depends on what it is!.
Sucking thumb/smoking/ things like that
1!. Identify problem
2!. What "triggers" problem!.
3!. Focus on triggers!.
4!. If stress related!.!.!. find something else to do right then!.
5!. Change it a little at a time, as described above!.

If neither checklist works!.!.!.!.
1!. Talk to a counselor (If in school, there is a counselor available!.)
2!. ASK for help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
