Solanine is a substance found in nightshade plants, including tomatoes, white potatoes, all peppers (except black pepper), and eggplant!. In theory, if not destroyed in the intestine, solanine may be toxic!.

perhaps this means if you "overdose" on it, you can't break it down in time and it could kill you!. again, I am doubtful putting it on your skin will make you sick or harm you!.
almost every site I find ONLY talks about ingesting the chemical!. The closest thing to skin contact I can find is contact with "mucus membranes" like the mouth eyes or nose!.
also
"Tissues which accumulated solanine (and chaconine) included:
abdominal fat, adrenals, blood, brain, heart, kidney, liver, lungs, muscle, pancreas, spleen, testis, thymus, and thyroid!.
