Question: How come the flood water smells really weird!?
we had a flood a few days ago, destroying half my house!. we managed to clean up the water but in another part there is still water with like , i think soil or dust mixed and it smells really weird, like an old wet carpet!. how come this smells bad and is it !.!.dangerous to breathe around in!?

Flood water is not just rain, its water that has backed up from the sewer because of all the water!. THATS what you smell, in addition to the mold that begins almost immediately when homes have been water logged!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Get away from the water!. Contact the DEM!. If you've made contact with the water, seek medical attention!. Let the DEM know what the water smells like!. They need to know where its coming from ETC!. Notify your town hall as well and check with neighbors!. Let the authorities know ASAP!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
