The most common causes of nose bleeds are dry air and blood vessels unusually close to the surface of the lining of your nose!. Air can be humidified for the dry air issue!. Also drink enough decaffeinated liquids!. If the blood vessels tend to bleed and don't stop easily after 15-20 minutes you should see a doctor to find out what is wrong!. You may have lost a significant amount of blood if your nosebleeds last that long and you could be anemic which causes the light headed feeling!.
Since you may be significantly anemic(low on red blood cells) you should see a doctor as soon as you can get an appointment!.
As for bleeding on both sides you don't need to put a lot of concern on that!. It does not indicate what the problem is!. There are other causes!. See this link: http://www!.uihealthcare!.com/topics/earno!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The veins in the nose are close to the surface as they are in the rest of the face!. When you get hot the veins rise to the surface of your skin to try to help cool you down; sometimes when the air is dry the veins will burst and start to bleed causing a nose bleed!. This can also happen if you have a severe sinus infection!. Since your nose bleed has lasted so long I would expect that you are low in Iron which helps the blood to clot!. You can take an Iron supplement, no more than one a day and this should cut down on how sever you bleeds are!. Since you are becoming light headed from the bleeds I do recommend you go see your Dr just to make sure you are not anemic, have an infection or something more is going on!. In the meantime, try to stay cool, replace the fluids you have lost by drinking water so you don't get dehydrated and just take it easy for a bit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
