Question: Why is it bad for you if you go to sleep straight after a meal!?
Answers:
Because your body needs time to digest the food you ate!. If you laid down right after eating, then your metabolism slows down and wont digest the food as fast as it would when your awake, walking, running and so on!. It takes 2-4 hours for your stomach to empty and about 7-8 hours for your body to turn that food into waste!. If that food doesnt burn up quick enough (metabolism), the food will settle and you will eventually gain weight from the fat that is being created by the slow process!. It is good to wait atleast 2-3 hours after eating to go to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

when you are a sleep there are a number of anabolic (building) endocrinological processes that occur!. which mean, that when a surplus of calories are being consume - one will gain adipose tissue (fat) more easily from a large late meal!.

bear in mind: the major factor is the caloric surplus!. timing is a minor consideration when dealing with the energetic-caloric balance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dunno!. Maybe because you go right to sleep and aren't active, as opposed to eating earlier, and then moving around and burning calories and forcing your body to digest the food more!. But I dunno, I'm not a dietitian!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you sleep your metabolism slows down and this makes the body useless of the calories, so they are stored as fat instead of burned off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
