Ugh, this is difficult!. I had to do this when I started working nights!. The best thing to do is sleep in small intervals leading up to whatever it is that is going to keep you awake!. For example, sleep for a couple hours, then get up and do something active for a few, then take another nap!. It's all about the short naps, instead of trying to get all your sleep at once!. Even then, your body is going to have a hard time adjusting!. I am three months in to the night shift and I still struggle with sleep sometimes!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only way to change your sleeping pattern is to do the following:
Be sure you are not suffering from depression for one!.
Set a time that you want to go to bed say 9pm
Get ready for bed, turn off the light, turn off the TV, make sure the room is dark!. Close your eyes and try to sleep!.
Set a wake up time and no matter how tired you get DO NOT take a nap!.
Avoid caffeine, exercise, smoking and booze at least 2 hours before you go to bed!.
Take a relaxing bath or drink a glass of warm milk they help too

GOOD LUCK
