Knee giving out?!
Question: Knee giving out!?
every once and awhile and pretty badly today my left knee gives out when walking or standing and when im doing anything be it laying, sitting, standing, or walking I get painful spasms in my left knee!. It makes my knee tighten and loosen and it feels like someone is pushing on a huge black and blue mark on my knee (but it hurts REALLY bad)
I am only 19 years old! This shouldnt be happening should it!? I dont have any known knee or bone or joint problems!.!.!.!.what could it be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I could never kneel on my knees and when I was about 26 I found out I had a birth defect under my knee cap--- NOW and even before I found that out my knee would just go out most of the time for no reason--- then it would go back in just as quick--- I walked on a tread mill and it seemed to work strengthened my knees now they do not go out as often as they once did!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would be helpful if you told us when did this problem start!. You shouldn't have these problems at your age!.
Do you do sports!? Especially a sport like soccer which has a high risk of causing knee injuries!. I do figure ice skating which is far less straining than soccer and I have a chronic right knee injury which is slowly getting treated!.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to visit an orthopedist to get an X-ray done!. You could have a dislocated knee cap, or a torn ligament, a small fracture that wasn't treated or in a very bad case scenario; a tumor!. In the best of cases, your problem might be treatable just with rehabilitation but you definitely need someone to check it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
