Can a kid grow healthy without eating meat?!

Question: Can a kid grow healthy without eating meat!?
Answers:
A child should eat meat, however, I think vegetarians on a proper diet, which is rich in protein will grow healthy too!. I do not, and I stress this, I do not think that a child can grow healthy if they are a vegan!. You can't cut too many pieces of the food pyramid out!. You can always substitute beans for meat, but a child needs to drink milk, etc!.

LOL, to the poster who stated we arent meant to eat meat!. If people weren't meant to eat meat then we would not have the teeth we do!. They are designed just like a wolf or dog!.

The more meat a person eats, the taller they are!. In the middle ages when people ate more potatoes and less meat, they were shorter!. Women were 4' to 5' then!.

Take a look at the asian countries!. The Chinese focus more on rice for meals rather than meat!. They are fairly short!. They migrate to Australia or the US and their children get more meat in their diets so they are taller than their parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, but it is important to get plenty of protein and iron from other foods!. It is also important to understand all of the different proteins that the body needs, and what foods these come from!. Nuts, dry beans and lentils are good sources of these, as are eggs and dairy (if these are foods that are part of your diet) The best thing to do is to talk with a nutritionist!. Some hospitals and public health agencies (Health Dept, etc!.) will offer nutrition services at no cost!. Your body cannot grow and function properly without all of the nutrients it needs, but you do not have to get these from meat!. Just make sure you do get them!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Absolutely not! Human body is one of the rare structures that require both vegetables and animal products to be healthy!. Even human teeth are shaped in a way that one can consume both types of food!. It is important to consume animal products according to the geography that one lives in and according to age, general health, job and gender!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Lene,
most definitely!.

Meat is not appropriate nutrition for humans!. It is something from which, in an emergency, we can extract some nutrients but it is quite difficult for our bodies to get rid of the residues!. This is why the average 40 year old American man has 5 kg (11lbs) of indigestible meat residues glued on the inside of his intestines!.

Humans have a long intestine (much longer than a lion) appropriate for digesting grains!. It is much too long for digesting meat as we cannot eject the residues before they putrefy!. This is why all carnivores have very short intestines!.

Appropriate protein for a human is beans, lentils, tofu, seitan and tempeh!.

As long as they still get the things they eat meat for, such as protein!.

They would need to eat something else containing protein and other things in the meat!.

It's not about the meat, but what's in it!. If you can find something else with the same things in it, that's fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, but they have to eat foods with protein in them like all kinds of beans, eggs, milk, all nuts, and meatless meat!. It's a vegetarian food without meat but has protein!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
